Raj completed his Masters in India (Trichy, Tamil Nadu). After a short research position in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, he moved to the UK to complete his PhD under the supervision of Dr Andre Cobb at University of Reading. Before joining us in Belfast, he worked with Prof. Adam Nelson and Prof. Steve Marsden at University of Leeds and with Prof. Mike Shipman at University of Warwick.

His project is focused on the development of chiral cationic organocatalysts with applications in counterion-directed enantioselective synthesis.
